Crazy Hair Day!

Well, for some reason my kids' school does not allow the kids to dress up for Halloween. A) There is no school on Halloween due to the end of the term. B) I guess they are worried about costumes. So the week of Halloween always falls on Drug Free Week and today is "Crazy Hair Day". Mason has always wanted a Mohawk on that day. But never really had the hair for it. But over the last year he has worked on growing out that hair to cover his keyloid. So I thought what better day then today? We both discussed this month, that if it went well with the removal of cutting his keyloid, and we thought it looked good.....then we can cut his hair. He loved his hair but has recently been saying he just wants to go back to being normal. So, now that we think he has the cutest ear ever.....(considering).....and we want to show it off!

Mason was so happy....he was ready to get rid of all that hair. He hated combing out the snarls. In a way, I was actually sad. And I was the one that was hesitant. His long hair became him. It was who he was and his character.

Colby wanted his hair cut down the middle like he was an old man for Crazy Hair Day.
These two are the cutest boys I know. I can not believe how different Mason looks. I have my old Mason back. When he looked in the mirror, he said "It is like my head is smaller!"

We had a really really long Mohawk at first...he did not like that. He did not want it really spikey...just a little Mohawk like Mr. T he told me. Did not realize he knew who that was. But, isn't that the cutest ear you have ever seen?

When my Dad and Sandy came over on Sunday for dinner, Sandy brought over stuff to decorate "Round Pumpkin Sugar Cookies". The kids (AND DENNY) had such a blast decorating and eating them.

Check Denny out! He is literally licking his fingers clean....he made us laugh. Every time he put a cookie on his plate to decorate, he would frost in and then decided he wanted to just eat it....Then he would say "OK, I will decorate this one" But then continued to eat them before decorating. LOL

This is the One And Only cookie that Denny actually finished decorating. It looks like a self portrait cookie! He was so proud (it is still sitting on our counter. It is too good to eat)

I think they all did a great job!

This year Denny found this mask....you have all seen from the Halloween party post. We all think it is just the greatest mask ever. We decided it actually looks like my dad! Denny has dressed up on many occasions and rode his bike around town. On Sunday, we were just goofing around and tried on that mask...it was funny.

Alright!! Now, I have passed my motorcycle test!!!!

I did it! I passed the motorcycle test......but this time on MY BIKE!!! I am sooooooo excited. I did it! I did it! I went into this as something I wanted to achieve. Wanted to quit at times, but I stuck to it! I was so excited after the test...all day I kept saying "I did it! I did it!" That is when Mason said " WE KNOW MOM! I was there! You have already told us this!" (Geez, sorry dude, I was just so excited!) There was only one thing that I was really nervous about...and that was the double U-turn, kind of like doing the figure 8, and you can not go out of the box or put your foot down. Trust me, on my bike it was not easy. My handle bars are so wide (not my choice, came with the bike). I could not have done it without Denny. He really helped me. We went out and practiced Friday night until it was just headlights shining on the course. Thank you so much Denny. I love you so much and was so happy to look over during the test, and see you there cheering me on. Thanks again Babe. Love you!

We got there early so I could practice....don't laugh at the goggles. I had to wear them. When the cool air hits my eyes, and with my nerves, it makes my eyes water and water. I usually wear my full face helmet which helps. But for this testing I thought it would be a pain to wear.

OK...It is test time, and I find out I am FIRST!!! Oh, I was so scared that I was going to drop my foot or my bike in front of the others. (There was 5 of us in all for the retest)

I totally Aced the test! I was not even close to the outer line and my feet and bike stayed where they belonged! I had such great cheerleaders and support!

I could not figure why this photo of this bike was with my pictures....then realized Mason got a hold of the camera....He says "Mom, I just thought this bike was a really cool bike!"

Amy and Denny's first basketball game

Saturday was Amy's first basketball game and Denny's first time coaching it! Well, they were pretty close until the end then the other team got ahead and won the game.....Better luck next week guys. You both still did very well. Denny went into that game knowing all the names and really tried to play them where he thought was best. Amy played basketball two years ago, we did not get registration in--in time last year. So, she has had a little break. Good game you two!

Denny was doing some spring/fall cleaning. We finally got Amy's room done! Then we were washing some blinds and he decided to clean the bikes too. He wanted his bike clean for his appearance with his Halloween costume for the party. Then he was so kind to clean my bike for my test. I was inside when I heard what I thought was a vacuum. I thought what could he be vacuuming? Is he cleaning our cars too? When I went outside, I saw him drying our bikes with our leaf blower!! LOL...for some reason I thought that was such a funny, genius idea and took his picture.

Our Annual HALLOWEEN Party!

It is time for our annual Halloween Party! We had a great turn out this year. We had lots and lots of fun. I did make an announcement to let my family know...next year will be a costume party! So we have a whole year to decide what we want to be. That should be lots of fun!! The kids just kind of played in their costumes....you will have to wait until Halloween to see them in their full costumes..

Denny wanted to make an appearance on his bike with his costume on....we all had to wait and wait for him to show up....but it was funny!

The kids wanted to get into pre-Halloween mode. We have Amy, Andrea, Aspen, Jaylin, and Mason (you will see him in costume later)

Then we always do the pumpkin carving. The kids really do enjoy doing this. Denny and Steve get really competitive. But this year, it was all about helping the kids. (that was a shock) This is a picture of Todd (Kristi's wonderful boyfriend) and his pumpkin. SO CUTE TODD!

This year we did something different...we decided to attempt the eating doughnuts without our hands game! Mason, Amy, Christian, and Colby getting ready

Just a side note...Denny won the adult round. I swear he swallowed it whole!

We like to do a lighting ceremony with the pumpkins that night. Denny will put a spot light in each pumpkin as we say "Ohhh and Awwww" to each one. Sometimes we even have contests and vote...but this year they were all winners!

Then Denny came up this genius idea to put the Halloween lights in each one....looked pretty cool. We were excited about the whole thing.

I had such a great time. We had allot of people this time. Todd brought his daughter, Megan and she brought her friend. They are from Idaho....It was fun getting to know them. My grandma and Bill were also there. I want to thank everyone who helped pull this party together...could not have done it without you. Love you all! (Remember costumes next year so start thinking)
