Wake up Boys....Time for School!!

As we all know...it is that time of year again. Summer is gone, where did it go? Now it is time to return to school.
My kids were sooooo excited. They all helped each other pick out the clothes for the first day. Even Mason who HATES school was excited to go back. He got the same teacher that Amy and Colby had...Mrs. Grow. We love her.

My sweet Amy Lou has started Jr. High! Oh my goodness. She was so happy. Not nervous at all. Was up before anyone...Had her schedule memorized and everything ready to go. I was so proud of her and had a blast doing the "back to school" shopping with her! I gave her the choice, I can take you to school for pictures, or we can take photo before you leave. She went with the obvious..lol

Ryanne came with me to take the boys to school. Here she is with her famous "cheese" smile

So, as I was walking to the 6th grade section for Colby. It really hit me. This is his last year in Elementary school. Made me sad, thinking about the day I dropped him off at Kindergarten and the teacher had to tell me "It is time to go now". As we got closer to his friends, he says, "Mom, you are the ONLY mom here" I said, "Yes, I am" He did not want me to take his picture. I told him if he did not let me take the picture, I would follow him to Jr. High next year for photos...lol. So he got all his friends that were there together for pictures. I just do not want to let him go. So scared for Jr. High next year. As I was leaving I yelled "COLBY, I LOVE YOU! REMEMBER TO MAKE THE RIGHT CHOICES AND FRIENDS"....he was totally embarrassed. I did it because I can. But, not after this year.He is growing way to fast......

Mason and Colby with Ryanne

These two have their days.....but all-in-all they are bestest of friends

Wilde Family Reunion!

We have not had a Wilde Family Reunion in FOREVER! Unfortunately seems like we catch up with each other at funerals. So my Dad took it upon himself (with Sandy's help) to be the first of what we hope is an annual get-together. Most of us were able to make it, which is great! We met at Holm Park in Salt Lake....we had a great time!

My Sista and Bro..Lindsay and D.J

As you can tell, we never really have grown up :)

Colby holding Alyssa's baby girl Carley.....He loves holding babies

Mason with Ryanne.....WEEEEEEE

Mason, Amy, and Ryanne (with her "cheese" face)

Denny riding Muckle Icky's bike (Uncle Mick's)

Colby on their motorized bike...he loved riding this bike

These two girls, they are so cute and make us smile all the time. Kamrin was drinking an orange drink and eating orange cheetos, got it all over her clothes and took off her shirt......so Ryanne, was like--if Kamrin gets to take her shirt off, so do I. It was super hot that day. So they are what we call twins. They are going to be BFF counsins forever!

They even say "cheese" the same! Check out the orange line going down Kamrin's stomach

Me and Mason hanging with the family

That is my step-brother Trebor, little Kamrin, Step-mom Sandy, Jaylin, Aunt Susan, and my Sista

I love this picture. Mason actually was in charge of the photos....thought he did real good with this one. Besides all the photos of him I went through and soda cans, capri sun's...etc!
Alyssa, her baby girl, and Corey

My Aunt Pat, her husband Steve, cousin Jess, and Uncle Ray (he always makes me laugh)

My cousin Travis and his beautiful wife

My cousin Brian, Uncle Mike, and Uncle Mick

I like this photo too. Well done Mason! That is Alyssa's boy Tyler, with my bro D.J. and his girlfriend Tiffany

Here is the cute BFF cousins/twins later that day at my house. They came over for movie night. I love my nieces! Jaylin actually spent the night at my house that night. I just love her so much!

I know....it surprised me too!

What I am about to tell you may surprise you. It surprised me too! This post may bother or offend some. So viewers discretion is advised!

Me and Denny, we agree on most things. But those that know us--you know we really only fight once a year....every September....which is EVERY hunting season. Now when Denny asked me to marry him, I actually said "I do not think I could marry a hunter" And as you all know.....at that point Denny said, "I would give up hunting for you!" HAHAHAHA Was I a sucker for that one. Now, I must say, I think I have done better the last couple of years. Except when Ryanne was born just a week or two before the hunt and he went anyways. Well, I have actually seen what a bonding moment it is for Denny with his father and family which has been carried down to my son's. One by one, as they get older they have gone hunting with their dad. As much as I try to bribe them to stay home or I show them Bambi and how sad it is when a hunter shoots Bambi's mother.....nothing has worked. And I am sad to say, Ryanne will probably be following them also. She has already showed signs of doing everything the boys do.

As I am aging....I am now 30 years old. I am an old old woman. I have thought of stuff that I would like to A) Achieve with my life and B) surprise my husband and mother with. I can check off getting my motorcycle license. Done that! Have my bike now that I love to ride! I can now tow our trailer so Denny can sleep while NOT driving! Enjoy that now too......and now I would like to consider going hunting with the family. First step, getting my hunter safety license. Which I have wanted to do anyways, because I have never been around guns--they scare me. But they seem to be around me. So I wanted to know more about the guns and safety of the guns. Our ward actually got a class together. So Me, Colby, Mason, and my friend Capree signed up. Now considering I have NEVER held a gun in my life...Denny took me practicing the weekend before my test. It went great! I passed!! (I had to tape my left eye down...hahaha)This being because they tested me on my gun safety and NOT how well I can or can NOT shoot the target.....Good Times, Good Times!

We woke up early in the morning....saturday morning. And we took the test at Denny's gravel pit. That is Mason, Me, and Colby

Ok....Colby was born a hunter. It is in his blood. He did awesome. Denny has really done a good job teaching him. He did very well.

All right here I go.....

Go Mason! He did really good too.

My friend Tom, had to help me with the clip

Fire Range is Open!

Poor Mason, he is only 8...Arms need to be just a little longer.

Now here is my friend Capree....She did AWESOME!! She has actually gone hunting with her hubby from time to time and has shot a coyote. She is my idol....I would love to be able to go coyote hunting. But if I am having a hard time shooting a piece of paper that is holding still...how am I going to shoot an actual moving, running animal?

I wish this was the part where I told you I hit bulls-eye every time...and was just my own Annie Oakley, but I was hardly that. I did better when practicing then at the test. I swear the gun was off!! It was not me!!

With this post I have "Eye of the tiger". I just want you to listen to that while you read, and picture me at the shooting test with my left eye TAPED shut....lol

As we welcome my newest niece, we say goodbye to someone special

What a crazy day this day was....Just to get you caught up to date--When we had Colby's early birthday party, as soon as we got done singing happy birthday to him, my mom told me that my Grandma's boyfriend of like 24 years, had passed away. He had a really fast growing cancer and was getting sicker. I was so sad. My grandfather passed away when I was around 3 years old. So I do not remember him. But Bill has been around our family as long as I could remember. Always loved to go camping, canoeing, kayaking, and ride his bike. He was the nicest man I knew. Such a wonderful spirit with him. So, as we approached Aug. 12th. It started with Me and Amy meeting up with my Mom at the hospital early in the morning for Alyssa. She is having the baby! It is a girl! I am so excited (and tired)

Me and my sista Alyssa right before they take her back for c-section

One hour later, She is here!! Carley Sue Freer! We were soooo excited to hold her. My mom got to be the first

Then my Dad held the beautiful Carley

Me and my newest niece...Carley! I am such a proud Auntie M! Can not wait to babysit :) P.S....this is not a beauty contest--I just rolled out of bed for Pete's Sake!

Me and precious Carley

Me and Mom with Carley...we were like the baby paparazzi with her

Mom and Popps with baby

This is the proud papa...and my sister's boyfriend...Corey

LOL. Right after the surgery, they rolled her into the room, and this is what she did--immediately looked at the Menu. She planned her breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Cheasecake with each meal too!

So after Carley was born, we all had to go home and get ready for Bill's funeral. What an emotional rollercoaster. It was so hard, saying goodbye to him. I do not think it has really settled in yet completely. I keep thinking he is going to pop up at the next family event. The week before he died, he met up with all us adults at Chuck-a-rama for my Grandma's 70th Birthday! None of us had seen him since he started radiation. When we saw him enter with that walker, he did not look like himself. He had the hardest time just eating. It was hard not to cry when I looked at him. After that dinner, he went home and started to go downhill very fast. My grandma was over there ever day that week.

These are some of my favorite pictures of Bill. We will miss you Bill and we love you sooooo much!

After the funeral we took the family over to the hospital. The kids wanted to see the baby so bad. So we went to visit Alyssa and Carley. Alyssa was able to make it to the viewing the night before. She was really upset that she missed the funeral.

Awwww. Carley Sue

Mason and the little one

She looks so much like Alyssa! And she has the cutest hair bow--that is what I gave her..lol

After our visit with Alyssa at the hospital, we met up with grandma for the family dinner. She wanted us to go really bad. They had a family dinner because after the funeral (in centerville) he was then taken to cemetary in Eden to be burried. So they gave all the family time to make it back for the dinner. Above is Kendra, Uncle Ricki, his wife Emily, Camille, Grandma, Todd, and Kristi with little sophie

The guys, Popps, Colby, Mason, and Denny

My grandma's sister Bernice and her boyfriend Glen. My grandma and Bill did everything with those two. The four of them were always traveling. Then there is my sista Lindsay...always puts food in her mouth for these photos, her daughter Kamrin, My mom and Amy.

What a day this was....So many mixed emotions. I am truly thankful for my family that I have to help get through these times. I am super excited about my niece Carley. I feel lucky to have had Bill in my life. He would always make me laugh. Him and my grandma were so cute together. They called each other their "Special friend". My grandma is such a strong woman. I have never seen her cry my whole life. But this has been so hard for her. The good news is after all of this, we are actually seeing her allot more. She comes over for dinners and parties....we are trying to keep her busy. Love you Grandma, Love you Bill, Love you family, Love you friends, Love you Carley...
