Our Boat Tour

We went on a 5 1/2 boat tour along the Na Pali Coast. It was so much fun! The coastline was so beautiful. When we first got on the boat...Denny said "Now, if we moved here..this is something I could do. It was be so much fun" Then we he got sick and threw up off the side of boat after snorkeling....I told him "There goes your dream job!". It was actually kind of funny. We were really enjoying ourselves. We went snorkeling. I actually went snorkeling! I do not like to swim with fishies. But after I finally got in....I had a blast! I was taking all these underwater photos (still need to be developed) and the water was so warm. The ocean is amazing. Denny then said he swallowed too much salt water and was not feeling too good. We got back on the boat and being docked for awhile did not help him, so he layed down as we continued on our adventure. Now we were on the boat with a class that was graduating this year. They were with their teacher. So, a bunch of 18 year olds were hanging out the side of the boat...I asked Denny if he was ok. He told me NO as he went to the side of the boat and threw up! It was like spitting in the wind and he cleared that side of the boat, they all booked over to the other side....LOL. It was sooooooo funny! After that he felt fine. lol
Word of caution....I am not wearing make up this day!

Me and Denny as we left the dock (these photos are all pre-sickness)

Family of Dolphins.....we were so excited

They loved attention. The louder we were, the more tricks they did for us

Then we saw a baby whale!! I can not tell you how excited I was. I did my research before the trip because I wanted to go whale watching and the whales head to Alaska in April. But this mama and baby whale stayed behind I guess. It was a rare sighting and totally made my day.

The baby whale's fin

I did not get photos of the mom. When the mom came, we booked it. She was a big one. And this is the closest we could get to the baby. It is a $50,000 fine if you get any closer to them...nor do I think we wanted to get any closer. They are big and mighty!

Snorkeling....can you see all the fishies? I SWAM WITH THOSE FISHIES!!

Waterfall along Na Pali Coast

Cool Sea Cave

Now these photos are are not the best. This is when Denny is sick, and laying on my lap. But this beach area is where many movies have been filmed like Jurassic Park and Indiana Jones.

Na Pali Coast Cathedrals

As we SAILED back...they fixed our dinner. It was the best! We had really yummy chicken and yummy salads and breads. They then served a yummy dessert!

Our Captain...he was the greatest. All of them took such good care of us. Better than any Waiter or waitress I have ever had.

Me and my hubby!

This is a boat exactly like the one we were on (little smaller). We raced them back for a little distance. We won!

More sunset photos

We did have a great time, even with Denny getting sick. He does get motion sickness. I told him to take his medicine...did not listen. LOL. We met this really nice couple from NY that just got married and were on their Honeymoon. It was fun getting to know them too. We met allot of really nice people.

Moved over to Beautiful Kauai

So after staying on Oahu for 4 days we flew over to Kauai. These islands were completely different from each other. We were busy busy busy at Oahu. When we arrived at Kauai, it was like a resort island. It was simply beautiful. Both islands were amazing. But Kauai was simply breathtaking.

This was a beautiful road that went to our hotel. I loved this tree lined road!

Pearl Harbor

While in Hawaii we also went to Pearl Harbor. We thought it was really really neat. We learned so much there. We had fun, and spent most the day there.
We took this photo on our balcony before heading out to beach...we are dressed, I swear, we have swimming suits on!

If you look closely you can see what I call a sword fish. I found him as we walked along the beach that morning.

Me and Denny in front of the Beach....again

Denny on submarine. We thought it was soooo cool walking through the submarine. I could never live on one.....way to claustrophobic!!

This is where the torpedoes would go

The submarine (USS Bowfin)

Me and Denny in front of the Battleship Missouri. Now that is a BIG ship!

Check out Denny's Guns!

Hang Loose!

The USS Arizona Memorial. This was sooooo sad. Gave me the chills seeing the ship in the water and knowing all that died in that ship.

This is a list of all those that died on the USS Arizona. Dec, 7 1941 was a horrible day. We were totally caught off guard. We learned so much about the day. We learned allot about the different ships and planes. The boys would have loved going there. I thought about them allot that day and my step dad, Steve. He was in the Navy and has told us sooooo many stories. So to actually see what he was talking about as we walked along the ships, was pretty cool. I had chills the whole time we were out there.
